Many mid-life women are anxious about aging in general. They worry that they will lose opportunities for love, sex and work which they feel depend on maintaining youth. Many dread a decrease in sexual desire. Others are uneasy about unpredictable hot flashes.

According to my readings, 65% of menopausal women are not troubled by hot flashes and continue to experience a satisfying sexual life. In fact, from anecdotal personal communications, some women have told me menopause in general and hot flashes in particular have contributed to a more satisfying sexual life.
